The short version

MyDealBird is a browse-only deals directory. There are no accounts and no checkout, and the only tracking cookies we ever set are the advertising ones you turn on yourself with Accept all. When you click out to a store, standard click information is logged so we can count traffic and get credited for referrals. That's essentially it.

What we collect

• Outbound click data. When you click a store link (via go.mydealbird.com), we log the store clicked, timestamp, your IP address, browser user-agent, and the referring page. We use this to measure traffic and reconcile affiliate commissions.
• Email address and first name (optional). If you submit them in a signup or "notify me" form, we store them to send you what you asked for. We also record your consent — the exact wording shown to you, the date and time, the page you submitted it on, and your IP address — so there is a record of what you agreed to.
• Business contact details (partner enquiries). Our partner page carries two forms. If you book a call, we store the name, email address, company and phone number you enter and the topic you pick, so we can arrange and hold the call; choosing a time creates a calendar invitation and sends it to that email address. If you apply as a publisher, we store the contact name, company and email address you enter in order to create your publisher record and email you a link to set up an account. Both are business enquiries and are kept separate from the marketing email list — neither opts you in to one.
• Consent preference. Your cookie-banner choice — Reject all, Essential only, or Accept all — is stored in your own browser (localStorage) along with a version number, not on our servers. If you also give us your email, the choice showing at that moment is recorded on your signup, so there is a record of it.

Cookies & local storage

Advertising pixels load only if you choose Accept all. The only third-party scripts MyDealBird loads are the advertising pixels for Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and X, and they load on that one option and no other. On Reject all and Essential only the script tag is never added to the page, so your browser does not contact Meta or X at all — they are not loaded and then held back, they are simply not loaded. There is no analytics product on this site, and our fonts are served from our own server rather than from a font network. One thing your choice does not cover: the photographs on our Breadcrumbs articles are hosted by a stock-photo library, so opening an article fetches the image from their servers — an image request, not a script and not a cookie, and it happens whichever option you pick. The banner asks you to decide in advance what we may keep in your browser, and the page enforces that answer — it is not a notice you dismiss.

• Reject all. We store your answer and nothing else.
• Essential only. Your answer, plus first-party flags in your browser's local storage that remember you have already joined our email list, so the Deal Concierge stops offering. They stay on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
• Accept all. The above, plus the advertising pixels from Meta and X. They load only on this option, and they set cookies (_fbp, _fbc) that let us tell whether an advert led to a signup rather than only to a click. If you later switch to Essential only or Reject all we delete those cookies rather than simply stopping, and reload the page so the advertising scripts are no longer running in it; dropping to Reject all also removes the first-party flags described above.

Nothing is stored until you answer. Your answer is saved with a version number: if we ever add a new category, the version changes and the banner asks you again rather than treating your old answer as covering it. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer, which reopens the banner and shows your current choice.

Two things this banner does not govern. Clicking through to a store sends you via go.mydealbird.com, which writes a record on our server of a link you deliberately clicked; that is how we are credited for the referral and how MyDealBird is paid, so it keeps working whichever option you pick. The “Powered by Bridgepoint Automation” badge in our footer works the same way: clicking it records the click on our own server — the time, your IP address and browser, and the site you came from — and then forwards you, so we can tell how many people follow it. Neither record is an advertising cookie and neither is governed by the banner. And the email signup form carries its own separate consent, shown with the form at the moment you submit it. Third-party stores and affiliate networks you click through to operate their own cookies under their own policies.

Who we share data with

• Affiliate networks and retailers. When you click through to a store, the destination (and its affiliate network) receives standard web-request information from your browser, plus a referral identifier that tells them the visit came from MyDealBird. That is how affiliate referrals work everywhere.
• Service providers. Our web hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf.
• Alonzo Media and its brands. Alonzo Media, its affiliates, and the brands and websites it owns and operates may send you marketing email — but only if you opted in when you gave us your address.
• Advertising and marketing partners. If you opted in, we may share or sell your name and email address to marketing agencies, advertisers, and data partners, who may contact you with their own offers. This is always optional and never a condition of using MyDealBird.
• We do not sell your personal information — unless you specifically opted in when you gave us your email. If you did opt in and changed your mind, no problem: use our remove my email page at any time, and we will stop. You can also email hello@mydealbird.com.

Third-party sites

Every store listed on MyDealBird is an independent business with its own privacy policy. Once you leave our site, their rules apply — please review them before purchasing.

Data retention & your rights

Click logs are retained for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Notify-me emails are kept until we've sent the update or you ask us to remove yours. To request access to or deletion of your information, email hello@mydealbird.com and we'll handle it promptly, including rights available under applicable state privacy laws.

Children

MyDealBird is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
