About MyDealBird
What is MyDealBird?
A hand-picked directory of retailers. A little bird scouts stores and deals worth a look, and you tap through and shop on the store’s own site. We are not a shop: we sell nothing ourselves, hold no stock, and nothing is ever bought here.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts on MyDealBird — nothing to create, nothing to log into, no password to forget. Browse and click straight through.
Is it free?
Yes, entirely. You never pay MyDealBird anything, and arriving at a store through us never costs you extra — a store charges you the same whether you came from here or typed its address yourself.
How do you choose which stores appear?
By hand. We list stores we believe are worth your time, and we are not trying to be a comprehensive directory of everything in a category. Some placements are sponsored, and those are always disclosed: every store carries an “ⓘ Sponsored Listing” note you can open, and the full disclosure sits in the footer of the home page. Assume any listing here may earn us something.
How we make money
How does MyDealBird make money?
Affiliate commissions and sponsored placements. When you click a store link, you go via go.mydealbird.com, which records the click on our server and passes a referral identifier so the retailer knows the visit came from MyDealBird. If you then buy something, the retailer or its affiliate network may pay us a commission — at no additional cost to you. Some listings are flat placement fees instead. Compensation may influence which stores appear and where they sit, which is exactly why the disclosure is on the page.
Do you set the prices?
No. Every price, promotion, shipping cost and term is set by the retailer on its own site and can change at any moment. Anything we write about a store is an editorial summary that may be out of date — always confirm the current details on the store’s own website before you buy.
Do you handle my order, payment or returns?
No — none of the three. Your purchase is a transaction between you and the retailer, on their terms. We never see your payment details, never touch your order, and cannot process a return, refund or exchange. If something goes wrong with an order, contact the store directly.
Features
What is the Deal Concierge?
The chat bird in the corner of the home page. It points you around our current picks — by category, or by store name — and that is the whole of what it is scoped to. It cannot see live prices or stock, so it never quotes them.
What are Breadcrumbs?
Our articles — short, practical pieces on things worth knowing before you buy. They are the trail the bird leaves behind, and you can read them at mydealbird.com/articles.
The email list
What do I get if I join?
Email from MyDealBird when new picks land in the nest. Your email address is all we need; the first name field is optional and only there so we can say hello properly.
Will my email be shared with partners?
Only if you join the list — and joining is entirely optional. You never need to give us an address to browse MyDealBird, to use the Deal Concierge, or to click through to a store; it is never a condition of using the site.
If you do join, the line printed above the button is the whole of the deal: you agree to receive email from MyDealBird, Alonzo Media and its marketing partners, and that we may share or sell your name and email to those partners. We show you that wording at the moment you submit, and we record it — the exact text, the date and time, the page, and your IP address — so there is a clear record of what you agreed to. You can undo it at any time; see the next answer.
How do I get off the list?
Two ways, and both are immediate. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. Or use our remove my email page — the same one linked from our privacy policy — at any time. Enter your address there and we stop emailing you and stop sharing it with our marketing partners. You can also just write to hello@mydealbird.com.
Privacy & cookies
Do you track me?
Only if you say yes. Advertising pixels for Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and X load only if you choose Accept all in the cookie banner. On Reject all or Essential only the script tag is never added to the page, so your browser never contacts them at all. There is no analytics product on this site.
What we do log is the click itself. When you click a store link, our server records the store, the timestamp, your IP address, browser user-agent and the referring page — that is how we count traffic and how a referral gets credited to us.
Which means we do not need cookies to get paid. The credit for a referral comes from that server-side record of a link you deliberately clicked, not from anything kept in your browser. So choosing Reject all costs us some advertising attribution — it does not cost us the commission, and it costs you nothing at all. The store links keep working exactly the same way whichever option you pick.
What are the three cookie choices?
The banner asks you to decide in advance what MyDealBird may keep in your browser, and the page enforces that answer — it is not a notice you dismiss.
- Reject all. We store your answer and nothing else.
- Essential only. Your answer, plus first-party flags in your browser’s local storage that remember you have already joined our email list, so the Deal Concierge stops offering. They stay on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
- Accept all. The above, plus the advertising pixels from Meta and X. They load only on this option, and switching away deletes the cookies they set.
Nothing is stored until you answer, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. This is the short version: our privacy policy is the authoritative one, and it explains what happens when you switch between the options.
Contact
How do I contact you?
Email hello@mydealbird.com. For a privacy request — access to your information or deletion of it — use hello@mydealbird.com, the address named in our privacy policy.
I run a store — can I be listed?
Start on our partner page, where you can book a call straight into the calendar, or just write to hello@mydealbird.com and tell us about your store. There is no automated approval — every store is reviewed by hand.
I run a website — can I promote your stores?
Possibly. Apply on the publisher side of our partner page — contact name, company and email is all we need to start — and we will email you a link to set up an account. Waiting there is our publisher compliance questionnaire, and until we have read it and approved it, that is the only thing you can reach: no campaigns, no agreement, no payment details. Publishers work with us across the properties we operate rather than site by site, and your questionnaire answers are how we work out which ones suit your traffic.
